Who would make a great Junior Teacher?
- Someone who is looking for volunteer hours. Volunteer hours are generally required for confirmation and NHS. This is an easy way to earn 15-30 volunteer hours throughout the school year!
- Someone who thinks they might want to go into education or ministry as an adult
- Someone who loves kiddos!
What do Junior Teachers do?
- Junior teachers would act as a second set of hands in the Sunday School classrooms. They would be there to assist the Sunday School teachers in many ways including reading bible stories, leading crafts, and playing games!
What is the time commitment?
- Sunday School is between church services from 9:15 to 10:15. Junior Teachers would be expected to be present at 2 out of 4 Sundays every month.
- Junior Teachers can be there more than 2 Sundays a month, but 2 is the minimum.
- Junior Teachers will work with myself (Molly Gors) and their assigned Sunday School teacher to create a schedule of which Sundays they will be there.
Why do Junior Teachers need to be there 2 out of 4 Sundays?
- Children crave consistency. They thrive when they are able to get to know their teachers and build a relationship with them. Being there less than 2 Sundays a month would just not be enough time to get to know the children in your Sunday School class.

I/we understand that my child(ren) may be photographed while participating in the activities of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. I/we (do) or (do not) give permission for a recognizable image of my child to be posted on the TLC website, facebook, publications or bulletin boards. I understand that a non-recognizable image, such as a group picture, may be posted.
I/we give permission for my child(ren) to participate in the activities of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. In consideration of the opportunity of my/our child to participate in the activities of TLC, I/we release TLC, its officers, agents, employees, staff, and volunteers from any and all liability of any kind whatsoever for any loss or injury to my/our child arising from my/our child’s participation in the activities of TLC; and I/we agree to indemnify and hold forever harmless the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, its officers, agents, employees, staff, and volunteers from any and all liability of any kind whatsoever for loss or injury to my/our child arising from activities of TLC, including loss or injury resulting from negligence or gross negligence.
